Richard Sorgnard: Executive Director for Morhea Technologies

Richard Sorgnard is the executive director for Morhea Technologies LLC. Morhea Technologies LLC designs, develops, engineers and produces complex electronic equipment, electric signal generation (EST) devices (including FHSS signaling). The Morhea Technologies LLC headquarters is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Along with also being involved in applied techniques for the medical, governmental and consumer electronics industries. Richard Sorgnard’s proprietary technology is currently used (under Morhea license) by multiple companies in the medical industry.
Richard Sorgnard is also the Director of Technology for the International Institute for Chronic Disease. He works regularly with the technology of electric signal generation and applies the techniques in the medical and governmental sectors. Under the Morhea license, Richard Sorgnard has developed proprietary technology being used by various companies throughout the medical industry.

As someone with a PhD in molecular cell biology, Richard Sorgnard is particularly interested in how the generation of electric signals can affect cells. This has led to developments, such as RST-Sanexas, an electrical cell signaling treatment for pain. The technology has been called a breakthrough in pain management treatment. Numerous studies have been published in medical journals to describe the efficacy of electronic signal intonation (ESI) with patients. Richard Sorgnard explains that (ESI) is a patented technology at the communication level that has produced unprecedented patient outcomes.

Richard Sorgnard is zealous about finding as many uses as possible for quantum-based strategies in the medical industry. Richard Sorgnard believes that it can be used in even more medical issues beyond pain. When the right electronic signals can be generated, they can be used to treat diabetic problems, arthritic disorders, claudication and most rehabilitation problems. There are also clinical trials that examine how it can help dementia.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Richard Sorgnard studied at Northwest Missouri State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Biology. Richard Sorgnard continued his studies by then graduating from Northwestern University with a PHD in Molecular Cell Biology. Richard Sorgnard is actively involved in the design, development, engineering and production of complex electronic equipment, electric signal generation (EST) devices (including FHSS signaling), as well as applied techniques for the medical, governmental and consumer electronics industries.

Where did the idea for Morhea Technologies come from?

When Morhea Technologies was founded, about 20 years ago, the objectives were the same as they are today. Morhea Technologies is a medical technology development and engineering firm. We design and create innovative products for the mitigation of chronic, intractable pain and the activation of regenerative processes in the body. The benefits are far-reaching and tremendously positive for the recipients.

What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?

I have always been an early riser. I like to take the quiet hours of the morning to review the day’s schedule and catch up on any news whether that be what is going on in the world or specifically in my industry. Then, I start my workday which may include meetings, research, testing, and many other tasks that fill my time. I stay productive and on task by keeping aware of my schedule and the time. I do not allow myself to get sidetracked or distracted. I have always believed that being punctual shows respect to both others and yourself.

How do you bring ideas to life?

My process for bringing ideas to life would be similar to the scientific method. You have your idea, do your research, hypothesize and test that out, then analyze your findings and draw conclusions to see if the idea has come to fruition or you need to repeat the process.

What’s one trend that excites you?

I have seen some employees that preferred working from home advocate for themselves to continue doing so even after some companies started opening their offices again. This has led some people to realize that there are other areas in their life that they can be more vocal about as well. This includes their mental and physical health. Seeing people advocate for their own wellbeing is exciting. Everyone should know their rights and their options. When it comes to pain management, they should know that they are not confined to prescriptions medications and that there are other options they can seek. Here at Morhea Technologies, we are passionate about bringing these alternative methods to patients but if they do not know these methods exist, they cannot benefit from them. So, if you are a patient, always speak up and advocate for yourself so that you aren’t missing out on options that may be available to you.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

I am consistent with my routine. I wake up at around the same time each day and try to get to sleep around the same time, even on the weekend. If there is a task I need to do often, I schedule it at a consistent time. This will help significantly reduce the chances that you ever forget to do it. An entrepreneur’s day and schedule can get very busy, very fast so keeping as many items on your schedule as consistent as possible, is going to help you in a large way.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Take your time when making decisions. Even when you have done the research. Do not let anyone pressure you into making a decision before you feel ready to do so.

Tell us something that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on.

It can be a good thing to be wrong. The key is to humbly accept that you are wrong so that you can learn and grow. I have been with other professionals that have been wrong in front of me and my respect for them did not decrease. In fact, when they were quick to admit that they were wrong and then listened to the reasons why they were wrong so that they could learn new information and change, my respect for them actually increased.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do?

Show gratitude. Be sure to thank your team, your mentors, those who support you, and anyone else that deserves a thank you.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business?

Being open to different ideas. Perhaps an opportunity arises that is outside of your comfort zone or outside of the way you typically operate. Instead of being quick to dismiss it, consider giving it a try. Growth is often a result of change. For example, when it became clear that in order to do business you needed to have an online presence, some companies struggled with that, but it quickly reached a point where they would be left behind if they didn’t decide to allow themselves to be a little uncomfortable for a short amount of time while they adjusted.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

Richard Sorgnard is not sure I have had any major failures, but I would have made some of my decisions a little differently if I could do things over again. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say though. I try not to dwell on the past.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

I recently attempted some gardening, but I didn’t really know where to start or how to lay out a garden. I thought wouldn’t it be nice if you could hire someone that would come and design the garden layout for you, do the shopping for you too but then the rest can be left to you. Like an interior decorator but for the yard. Though you are doing the actual grunt work.

What is the best $100 you recently spent? What and why?

Richard Sorgnard spent $100 replenishing some of the supplies in our emergency bag. Living in Nevada, we can deal with natural disasters such as wildfires, so it is important to keep these items up to date.

What is one piece of software or a web service that helps you be productive?

Feedly is a news aggregate. What is great about it is that you can customize it so that you are seeing news from your favorite publishers. So, I can see news that is relevant to my industry along with current events and it saves me a lot of time.

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

Rework by Jason Fried is a book that challenges many of the traditional rules that entrepreneurs think they must follow and instead replaces those rules with ideas that at first seem counterintuitive but upon closer examination, are quite thought-provoking.

What is your favorite quote?

“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”
– Vince Lombardi
